Edible Centerpiece

red-wedding.JPG

In honor of Canada Day – here is a great Red & White idea, though just changing the flowers could easily make this match any color scheme. The cake shown here comes from Channing’s and would be perfect for an edible centerpiece. For those of you who are into the DIY option – this would be a great project!

Start with a silver serving plate with a bundt cake in the flavour of your choice – drizzled with white icing and CHOCOLATE (yum). Place a small cup in the center of the bundt cake for water – and fill with flowers. Or, use silks and skip the water. Finish off the look by tucking leaves under the cake to cover the plater, and add a few rose petals for color.

The benefits – other then LOOKING amazing – is that you don’t need to have a huge wedding cake in order to feed all the guests, and the cake is already at the table so guests can just serve themselves – saving you money on cake cutting fees as well.

P.S. – Channing’s also does amazing wedding cakes – so if you want your wedding cake and centerpeices to match – they can do that for you!
