I found these at a vendor party I attended earlier today. They are called "perfectly printables" from Patty Gale Designs which basically means you print them yourself. When I saw this one – I feel in love.
The design is $1.99 – and you can print it as often as you wish! Perfect for all those wedding thank you notes you will need to send out in the next few months. Just purchase some thick paper and envelopes – then print them out as needed!
They also have a blank design available, also $1.99. This one could be used for thank you notes, bridal shower invitations, "will you be my bridesmaid" notes, save the date notes, and even as the wedding program for a totally co-ordinated look! And you only have to buy the design once!
You get to download the design immediatly so you could be printing in minutes.

My New Necklace

I did a graphics project for a jewelry business last month and was rewarded with a very cute necklace – the purple one with the daisy. I just got it in them mail today and I am TOTALLY in love with it. So of course, being me, my first thought was "I wonder if they have wedding stuff?" Lol, yes I am addicted. How can you tell!
So, I went looking and found this blue one that was just added. Isn't it goregous! Beaded jewelry are one of this wear's hottest trends, and this oen is absolutely perfect for a beach wedding! The best part is the price: only $20! They have some other colors and styles shown on site and in their gallery as well! Take a look! I bet if you emailed them, they'd probably make one with your choice of theme or color as well. Each one is hand made so it can be customized to suit.
I have the perfect dress to wear with this necklace this summer. I can't wait to go out and show it off.
P.S. Did I mention - you can get matching earrings as well!! No kidding!

A Wedding Gown Obsessed Guy??
Posted by Crystal in Bridal Gowns & Accessories, In The News
What would you be willing to do for your dream wedding dress? Well, I am sure some of the answers are a bit wild – at least you are a bride! You have an excuse!
BBC, a british news portal, recently reported that a 20 year old man smashed into a Feathers of Isca bridal shop in Devon and stole over $35,000 in wedding dresses and a mannequin. The young labourer apparently had a fascination with wedding gowns.
Michael Giles plead guilt to burglary. He will be pay back $6500 in compensation and about $400 in damages. He was also given a 51 week suspended sentence.
According to his police records, this is the second time this young name has broken into a bridal salon! You would think he'd have learned something the first time!
Wedding Video Gets You Jail Time?
Posted by Crystal in In The News
Do you think stealing a wedding video would get your 3 years in jail time? Well, if that wedding video belonged to JLo and Marc Anthony – and you tried to make them pay you $1 Million to get it back: you would!
31 year old Tito Moses, along with a colleague, hatched a plan to extort $1 Million from the couple in exchange for the stolen video! The pair came into possession of the video after Anthony's car, with his laptop on which the video was save, was stolen.
Moses plead guilty on wednesday and will be sentenced in October. The judge has promised up to 3 years in jail. The codefendant has not been tried yep.
The Moral: Don't piss of the bride – especially if she's famous!
You won’t believe the answer!

Celebrity Wedding Cakes you can make!

Who’s Had It? Denise Richards & Charlie Sheen
Description: The cream-colored cake, concocted by Fantasy Frostings, featured a 16-in. base of chocolate fudge, a 12-in. midriff banana nut and an 8-in. top tier of white satin.
Make It Yourself: This is actually a very simple design to replicate! If you are not comfortable with cooking your own wedding cake, then save some money buy ordering a simple tiered cake with plain cream icing. If you want to make the cake yourself, start with three round cakes in staggered sizes. Stack as shown and decorate with cream icing. Using an icing pipe to pipe a icing trim along the upper rim of each layer.
You can then decorate the cake yourself using real or silk rose petals. Use a small piece of floral craft foam with silk roses for a crowning touch, then layer silk petals over the edges of the cake. Place on a petal-covered table for an elegant touch!!

Who Had It? Toni Braxton & Keri Lewis
Description: A four-tier creation which looked like a perfect stack of four robin’s-egg-blue Tiffany boxes to compliment Toni’s Tiffany Blue theme.
Make It Yourself: Some time before hand, you will want to familiarize yourself with Fondant icing, and practice using it. You can by fondant premade or as a powder mix at most cake decor suppliers and large craft stores. You can also find recipes you can try on Baking 911. To learn a little more about using fondant, read Martha’s Article on Fondant. Once you have decided have the fondant you will be using – either store bought or homemade – then you need to practice using it. You will need to experiment with the color to find the right shade for a trademark Tiffany blue, and you will also want to practice making bows.
When it is time to make the cake, you will need to start with 4 varing sizes of square cake pans. Decorate each cake seperately. First, cover the cake with a light blue fondant, tucking the edges under for seamless look. Then, using a toothpick , you can press on the fondant to create the lines – giving you the look of a box with a lid. Finish each layer with a white “ribbon” strip – taking care to make sure that they do not all line up in the same spots. Make the bows as well. When it is time to set up the cake, place the layers in a stack, and place the ribbons on top of each layer, to finish the look.

Who Had It? Carmen Electra & Dave Navarro
Description: A four-tiered cake containing layers of Oreo cheesecake, chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake was bedecked with Swarovski crystals and roses.
Make It Yourself: Again, if you are not comfortable making the cake yourself, you can start with a simple, white cake from the bakery and save money by decorating it yourself. To make it yourself, you need to start with three different sizes of round cakes, each on it’s own base. You will also want to take some time to learn to use fondant (see Toni’s Cake) Decorate with white fondant. For a clean, simple design – leave as is. If you want to go a little fancier, pipe royal icing in swiggles all around the cake, commonly called a Connelli Lace design. (see here for an example). Finish each tier by piping icing along the edge.
When it is time to assembly, stack each layer using pillars from your craft or cake decor store. For the cake top, use a small piece of floral faom, some crystal’s, silver craft wire and silk roses. Gently slide silk roses inbetween each layer so the space is full but not overcrowded. To finish, insert crystal’s attached to silver craft wire in among the roses.
