WOW – Tiffany Blue Chair Covers
Posted by Crystal in Breakfast at Tiffany's, Decorations
Tiffany Blue weddings are still our most popular theme on Budget Dreams. In fact, as of today, 14 of our top 50 keywords used to find us in search engines are related to Tiffany Blue Weddings! So, I thought I would see if I could find some new stuff to feature for all our Tiffany Blue fans out there – and boy am I glad I did!!!
I found these Tiffany Blue Chair Covers on eBay – for $7.50 each including matching napkins!! NOT BAD!! Of course, if that is a little more then your budget allows, consider adding a little extra elegance to the head table by covering the head table chairs in these chair covers instead.
Black & White Candles
Posted by Crystal in Black & White, Decorations

Take a look at these adorable hand-decorated candles from Etsy seller, Taylored Arts! They are beautiful and fairly affordable at $8/candle. For a centerpiece, you could pair one of these candles with a black BlumeBox ($5) holding a bouquet of white silk roses. Depending on where you purchase flowers, you cost could be as low as $20/centerpiece for a stunning, elegant black and white wedding.
If you love the candle, but it doesn’t quite fit into the center piece budget – use it as an accent on the guest book table or cake table, or even as a unity candle. Here are a few more of her candles which are currently available as well.

Bridal Shower Decor On a Budget
Posted by Crystal in Decorations
Wedding can be expensive but not just for the bride. Think about your bridesmaids – your maid of honor, for example – may expect to pay $200 or more for a dress, have her hair, make-up and nails done, host a hen’s night and a bridal shower, and purchase gifts for the bride for those and any other events she is invited to. If you are planning a bridal shower, you should take a look at these gorgeous bridal shower decor kits.
Not only do they include just about everything you need, saving you a lot of time, but they are very affordable. I originally found the idea on Party Pail when I was looking for baby shower tableware for my sister’s baby shower. I really liked the convenience of having everything in one – from the tableware to the streamers and balloons. (Shown here, the Winnie The Pooh Theme)
Of course, Winnie The Pooh is not exactly “bridal” but check out this one!

This is the Celebrate! Wedding Shower set. It comes with invitations, plates, cups, cutlery, table cover, streamers and balloons. There are enough place settings for 8, invitations for 10 – but you can order extras as well. The basic kit for 8 plus decorations is only $40! I really like this design because it is a very chic design and the colors work well for a coed shower as well. For a more feminine design, check out this chic French Bistro collection – with POLKA DOTS!! (coincidentally the second most searched for keyword on this blog, lol)

Clothes Pin Frame Idea
Posted by Crystal in DIY Weddings, Decorations

This is a project I finished this weekend at an online Scrapbooking crop session. This one is made with magnet stripes on the back of the pins so it can hang on the fridge, but I thought it could be a great idea for decorating around a wedding or reception area. For example, place poles along a walkway and string ribbon from one pole to the next. Then, use clothes pins to hang pictures of the couple from the ribbon. Use papers and embelishments to match your wedding.
Another idea would be to use it as a pew decoration. Drape ribbon or even tulle from one pew to the next then use a single clothes pin to hang a decorated photo from the tulle at each pew. Actually – you could do both. Use them at the ceremony, then remove them and take them with to decorate the entrance to the reception area.
This would work well for a informal or semiformal wedding. For a more formal wedding, you could try painting or decorating the pins to make them look less rustic. Depending on what you do for paper and embelishements, this could be a very very affordable project.

Candy Buffet Follow-Up
Posted by Crystal in Candy Buffets, DIY Weddings, Decorations, Food and Meals, Real Weddings, Wedding Favors
Recently, I posted an article full of ideas for a elegant affordable candy buffet. One of the idea’s I shared was to search thrift shops and sales for glass containers. This week I found an awesome deal at a local thrift shop for our candy buffet – I got all three of these containers for $1.50! They are glass, and the lids need some work. I am going to sand the lids a little and spray paint them white. It will probably end up costing about $5 for all three when they are done!

Butterfly “Curtain” or “canopy”
Posted by Crystal in Butterfly Weddings, Decorations
In a magazine I read recently, there were photos from a Jewish wedding were the huppa that was made with suspended butterflies rather then cloth. This idea could be used for a backdrop at the alter or behind the head table at a butterfly themed wedding.
Using cloth or paper butterflies, suspend them at different heights, and varying distances from the wall for a realistic 3D effect. The butterflies can be suspended on clear fishing wire so that it looks like they are just fluttering in place.
If you want to go all out, suspend butterflies over the dance floor. Or for a really unique centerpeice, suspend butterflies at different hieghts from the ceiling over the center of the table.

I found this DIY project on another blog and had to share! They show you step by step in photos how to make roses using maple leaves and them put them together to make unique and very very affordable centerpieces (Affordable if you have maple trees around to pickthe leave from) These would be great for an informal fall wedding!
