More Ice Cream Wedding Stuff

Posted by Chrys on August 25th, 2008

Last week, I posted about these adorable ice cream floral arrangements from Todd Oldham’s Summer Collection at FTD and since then, I have had ice cream on the brain, so I thought some more ice cream inspirations were called for:)

Wedding Favors - treat your kids to some great ice cream themed favors! My favorite is definitely these ice cream sundae candles in ice cream parlor inspired glasses. SO cute! I also like the heart shaped ice cream scopes that say Scoop Of Love on the handle, also wonderful!

Ice Cream Cone Wedding “cake”

This is a really cute idea! From the Food Network, this creation features cakes cooked right in the cones, topped with icing and meringue, and displayed in a tiered cupcake stand for a unique, fun alternative to a wedding cake! You can DIY with complete instructions found here.

Would You, Could You? On A Plane?

Posted by Chrys on August 21st, 2008

This UK couple could - Bride Katie Hodgson, 23, took to the skies Tuesday in a full bridal gown on the top wing of red-and-white plane operated by Team Guinot, a group of stunt pilots.

Groom Darren McWalters, 24, flew by her side on an identical plane, while Rev. George Bringham — flying ahead of the couple — married them over an airborne communications system.

  3. GREAT Price! These babies are $39.99 from Target!
  4. FREE Shipping! If you Spend $50 in Women’s, you get Free Shipping at Target.com so assuming you have more the one bridesmaids, you’d get free shipping!

Ice Cream Bouquets

Posted by Chrys on August 19th, 2008

How cute are these? From the Todd Oldham Summer Collection at FTD, these ice cream bouquets would make a wonderful centerpiece for a summer bridal shower, engagement party or even a fun summer wedding reception. With carnations as the flower of choice for these bouquets, they are also fairly affordable. If you love the idea, how about an ice cream sundae bar for dessert? A perfect late summer wedding treat!

Eco-Weddings: Going Green With Wedding Rings

Posted by Chrys on August 14th, 2008

We’re not talking about the color scheme of your wedding - although green is a lovely color. We talking about creating an earth friendly wedding by recycling, reusing and/or repurposing.

Today’s Focus: Wedding Rings made from recycled or reused metals and created stones or natural products including wood & stone.

One of my favorite finds has got to be Green Karat. Not only do they have gorgeous jewelry they also have a registry where you can ask your friends and family to send in their old gold to help you create your wedding rings.

Some of my favorite designs include:

Real Deal #12

Posted by Chrys on August 11th, 2008

I found another awesome used gown seller on eBay that I has to share! Couture Wedding Gowns sells high end designer gowns with names like Paloma Blanca, Alvina Valenta, Jim Hjelm, Lazaro, Casablanca, Reem Acra, Pronovias and many more. Most of these are sample gowns, and were used in the bridal salon as samples. They may have had some damage, but they have been repaired and cleaned as needed, and the seller has included plenty of detailed photos of the actual gowns with each listing, which is very important.

The best part, of course, is the price! They have $1500+ gowns selling for as little as $250, a huge steal for some amazing gowns! Most of these gowns, as store samples, are unaltered and can be sized up or down a few sizes as needed as well. (more…)
