Posted by budgetdreams on May 17th, 2008

This short, sassy gown from Ralph Lauren is perfect for a summer wedding. Regularly $220, this silk georgette cocktail gown is currently on sale for $165 at Macy’s! I love the vintage feel of this design. It would look very chic paired with a bird cage veil and some cute little shoes.

Morgan & Company Gown under $200

Posted by budgetdreams on May 13th, 2008

I thought it would be interesting to do a series on affordable wedding gown options, so over the coming months you will find gowns featured here that are available online from bridal sites and non-bridal sites alike. I will be showcasing gowns under $500, but I will try to concentrate on the under $200 range most of the time.

To start you off, check out this Morgan & Company Gown from Sears, perfect for an informal/semi formal wedding, garden wedding, beach wedding or any bride who just doesn’t like trains. This cream colored gown comes in sizes 8-18 for $180. The lace bodice with sash detailing adds a soft, romantic feel, making this a perfect wedding gown!

Lighted Calla Lillies

Posted by budgetdreams on May 3rd, 2008

I’m not a huge fan of these lighted calla lily bouquets as centerpieces as shown here, they seem a little to “fake” for me, though perhaps in a better setting they would work. However, I would love them as lighting along the pathway during the evening of a summer wedding. They could also look lovely with a wide white ribbon wrapped around with a bow, and surrounded by candles for a soft romantic glow. Available from Oriental Trading’s Wedding Supplies section.

I also thought I would share these wedding cake toppers from Oriental Trading - both priced under $8 for an affordable topper.

Cute Dresses from Delia*s

Posted by budgetdreams on May 3rd, 2008

I found this gorgeous dress from dELiA*s by complete chance, and I totally love it! It would be the perfect bridesmaids gown for a spring garden wedding. Best of all, it’s rewearable and it’s affordable (less then $50!!). Of course, it would also be a great shower/party outfit or an engagement photo outfit. I also found a few other cute options from dELiA*s, all under $50.

Quick DIY Find

A friend of mine shared this with me earlier today. She made these wedding favor tags for her daughter’s maple syrup wedding favors last fall. She put together some quick DIY instructions for those of you who would like to make your own wedding favor tags as well. You can read it on eHow :) These also work well for shower favors.
